Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Server 812 community website (812-tiles-survive.com) and its Discord bots (Rosie, Layla, and Tarzan) collect, and how it is used. This is a fan-made, volunteer-run community project and is not affiliated with FunPlus or Discord Inc.

2. Information We Collect

Website: We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Plausible) to count page views and understand general traffic. This does not track individuals or use cookies, and collects no personally identifiable information.

Discord bots: To provide bot features and games, we process:

• Your Discord user ID and display name (to identify you in games like 812 Conquest and to address you in responses).
• Command messages you send to the bots (to respond to them).
• Game data you generate (resources, buildings, wins, achievements) stored to save your progress.

3. What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your email address, real name, payment information, or private messages. We do not read or store messages that are not bot commands, beyond what is needed to respond in the moment.

4. How Information Is Used

Collected information is used solely to operate the bots and games — for example, to save your 812 Conquest progress, display leaderboards, and respond to commands. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing.

5. Data Storage

Bot game data is stored on a private server instance hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the EU (London) region. Reasonable measures are taken to protect it, but no method of storage is completely secure.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Game data is kept as long as you participate in the community games. If you would like your bot data deleted, contact us via the community Discord and we will remove it.

7. Third-Party Services

The website and bots rely on third-party services including Discord, Amazon Web Services, and Plausible Analytics, each of which has its own privacy practices. Snail images shown by the bot are sourced from the iNaturalist open dataset.

8. Children's Privacy

This service follows Discord's minimum age requirements. It is not directed at children under the age required by Discord's Terms of Service in their region.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
